Typical Construction & Materials

  • Clamp Body: Carbon steel (Q235 / S235JR) or stainless steel (SS304 / SS316) band and saddles.

  • Lining (Elastomer): EPDM (weather/ozone/heat), NBR (oil/gas resistant), Neoprene (chemical & weather resistance), or Fluoroelastomer (Viton®) for aggressive chemicals.

  • Bolts & Nuts: Grade 4.8 / 8.8 carbon steel (zinc plated) or stainless steel A2/A4.

  • Finish: Hot-dip galvanizing (HDG), electro-galvanized, powder coat, or natural stainless steel.

  • Optional Accessories: Insulation pads, cushioning washers, T-bolts, saddle plates, earthing straps.

Performance & Operating Limits

  • Temperature Range: Depends on lining: EPDM (−40°C to +120°C), NBR (−30°C to +100°C), Neoprene (−30°C to +110°C), FKM/Viton (−20°C to +200°C). Confirm material selection for service conditions.

  • Pressure Rating: Clamp selection is independent of fluid pressure; choose clamp style and number of supports per pipe span to meet load and span requirements.

  • Chemical Resistance: Select lining elastomer based on media compatibility (we provide chemical compatibility charts on request).

Installation Guidance

  1. Select correct clamp diameter matching pipe OD (including insulation thickness if present).

  2. Verify lining integrity before installation — no tears or foreign debris.

  3. Place clamp saddle under pipe; fit bolt and tighten to recommended torque to avoid compressing lining excessively.

  4. For insulated pipe, install appropriate thermal isolation pads between clamp and insulation.

  5. Use earthing/grounding strap where required to maintain electrical continuity.

  6. For seismic or high-dynamic applications, use multi-point or double-band clamps and pair with engineered hangers/anchors.
